Crayola Debuts Optical Collection with Coral Eyewear
Coral Eyewear and Crayola, the beloved brand that inspires creative expression, announced today a multi-year licensing partnership that will bring bold and colourful eyewear to the children’s optical market.
The Crayola Eyewear Collection has already been picked up by major optical retailer, Asda Opticians, so young glasses wearers will be able to shop the range across the UK this spring.
Designed to inspire self-expression, each pair combines Crayola’s iconic colours including Red, Pink and Blues, with Coral Eyewear’s focus on quality and sustainability. The frames are made using S70 bio-acetate, an innovative material created from renewable materials such as cotton and plant byproducts —reinforcing the brand’s commitment to reducing environmental impact. The brand is known for its use of recycled and regenerated materials which includes being the first UK eyewear business to create a collection with ECONYL® regenerated nylon.
The Crayola partnership follows a period of rapid growth for Coral Eyewear’s licensing division. In the past year, the brand has launched a Paddington-themed children’s eyewear collection in collaboration with Studiocanal Kids and Family, and secured hundreds of points of sale across the UK and Europe for its Umbro eyewear collection, which includes both adult and children’s styles.
George Bailey, Director at Coral Eyewear, commented: “Crayola has played a positive role in millions of lives across the world. The brand inspires creative thinking, individuality and gives children the tools to express themselves. Eye health and strong vision have a clear link with a child’s development, and launching this range with Crayola is something we’re incredibly excited about.”
“We’re thrilled to bring Crayola’s vibrant spirit to the world of optical fashion through this exciting partnership with Coral Eyewear,” said Rob Spindley, International Licensing Director at Crayola. “This collection celebrates creativity, self-expression, and colour in a way that’s uniquely Crayola—empowering kids and families to see the world through a more imaginative lens.”
Crayola and Coral Eyewear invite young eyewear users to colour their world—now with frames as fun and expressive as their imaginations.
