Coral Eyewear Launch Collaboration with Marine Conservation Society

Coral Eyewear has today revealed a brand new pair of sunglasses which directly supports the UK's Marine Conservation Society.

Introducing a Bright Blue colourway into the collection for the first time, this special collaboration builds on the brand’s hugely popular Hector design and is manufactured using regenerated material ECONYL®.

ECONYL® regenerated nylon is an innovative material made with harmful nylon waste that would otherwise pollute the Earth such as fishing nets and fabric scraps from all over the world. The ECONYL® material additionally reduces the global warming impact of nylon by up to 90%* if compared with the material from oil.

Anne Thwaites of the Marine Conservation Society said: “We are delighted to be in partnership with Coral Eyewear who are supporting our vital work towards our vision of  a cleaner, better protected, healthier ocean. When using recycled materials, it's important we think circularly and the design of these frames does just that. Plus, they look great!”

George Bailey, Co-founder at Coral Eyewear said: "The Marine Conservation Society have been a leading voice in protecting our ocean for decades and I'm proud that this partnership will help to strengthen our collective fight against ocean pollution."

The frames are available for £149, with additional prescription lenses also available. As well as funding the collection of waste via the ECONYL® regeneration programme, £25 from each sale will go directly to the Marine Conservation Society
